Unilever Puerto Rico ranked top supplier
Retailers rank Unilever business as top supplier in Puerto Rico.
Unilever Puerto Rico has topped the 2009 Advantage Group Supplier Performance Study. The study, which is conducted every two years by the Toronto-based Advantage Group, surveys retailers across Puerto Rico about the performance of suppliers in the consumer goods industry. Retailers rank their suppliers on a number of dimensions such as customer support, category development, manufacturing personnel, trade and customer marketing, channel promotion and warehouse and distribution management. This is the first time Unilever has topped the survey, moving from position 6 in 2006.
"It's about building relationships"
According to the results, Unilever’s performance was particularly outstanding in the areas of logistics and supply management, trade marketing and promotions and customer service. “Improving the level of service we provide to our customers is not just about internal discipline but about building relationships,” Pablo Garrido, Chairman of Unilever Puerto Rico said about the results. “It is thanks to our customers that we have been able to achieve this recognition and we are grateful to them for their enthusiasm and commitment towards building a long term relationship with us.”
