Roxane De Freitas - Managing Director

Roxane De Freitas joined Unilever in 1985 and is the first woman to serve as the company's Managing Director.

Trinidadian Roxane De Freitas is currently Managing Director of Unilever Caribbean Limited and is the first woman to serve in this position.  She joined Unilever in in 1985 as Brand Manager, Industrial Food and Detergents.  She subsequently worked at Smith-Kline Beecham and returned to Unilever Caribbean Limited in 2001 to assume the post of Marketing Manager Personal Care Caribbean.  In 2004, she was appointed Customer Development Director and became a member of the Management Committee.  In 2006, she was appointed Company Secretary to the Board of Directors of Unilever Caribbean Limited and in 2007 she assumed the position of Managing Director.
